Aaron Fischer and Ora Fruchter

Ora Fruchter is a puppeteer, writer, director, and educator. She is the co-artistic director of Doppelskope, an interdisciplinary theatre company that creates open-hearted comedies that explore topics ranging from existential dread to ecological crises. Doppelskope’s original work has been performed at Vital Theatre, Dixon Place, The Tank and The PIT (NYC), Puppet Showplace, the Shadowbox Theatre (New Orleans), the Cell Theatre and Penasco Theatre (New Mexico) and at Muhlenberg College. Ora has also worked with students at Muhlenberg College to develop skills to create solo and collaborative work with puppetry and clown. Aaron Fischer is a theater devisor whose work particularly focuses on stories of magic, wonder, and self-discovery. Recently, he was the writer-devisor and outside-eye for a new stage adaptation of Peter Pan, played Romeo in a collaboratively cut and staged Fringe production of Romeo & Juliet, and worked as a creative producer on an arts festival and a documentary. He previously assistant directed for LA’s Will Geer Theater and wrote and directed for Shakespeare Orange County. In 2018, he will assistant direct a production for Bedlam here in New York.
