Ariel Lauryn is an actor-creator-adventurer-physical comedian-teacher-writer…and puppeteer…yeah, that about covers it. She still cannot believe that she gets to work with Puppet Kitchen Productions from time to time (which is how and why she came to NYC a year ago–you can thank them). Outside of puppetry, she is an Associate Artist with Built4Collapse and LES Shakespeare, with whom she performs and collaborates, and co-artistic director of AriLu Productions, developing a two-woman dark physical comedy farce to be a part of Sinkingship Production’s Flint and Tinder in May 2016. And beware–she is trying her had and writing a screwball webseries that will film (fingers crossed) early next year. MFA Dell’Arte International ’14. www.ariellauryn.com
Kayla Prestel is an actor, teaching artist and Pilates instructor. She has been working with puppets since 2012, beginning with a year-long apprenticeship with Touchstone Theater in Bethlehem, PA. She then began a collaboration with Mock Turtle Marionette Theater performing shadow puppetry, rod puppets and marionettes in several shows, including The Morningtime of Now which had its NYC debut at FringeNYC in 2015. Currently she is the studio manager and workshop coordinator for Puppet Kitchen Productions, Inc. and performs off-Broadway in the cast of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show at the Acorn Theater in Theater Row.
